Malia Sako OTD, OTR/L
My love for the brain and body started at UC Davis where I got a degree in Neurobiology, Physiology, & Behavior and fell in love with occupational therapy. I went on to get my Masters in OT at USC, then completed my doctoral residency in chronic condition management at the USC Faculty Practice. I stayed on as clinical faculty and had the privilege to work with clients, mentor future OTs, advocate for better access to care, and present at conferences and community organizations.
These days, I split my time between my private clients and re+active, a neurological rehab clinic, where I work on an interdisciplinary team of brilliant neuro specialists. I try to walk the walk and make time for my favorite occupations like exploring new music, tending to my plants, getting outside, and spending quality time with my loved ones. I can’t wait to learn more about you!
